The Team

When the Tillinghast family moved in August 2001, from Massachusetts to New York State to work and minister at a Christian residential campus for troubled teens, they knew that this move was in some way connected to a future ministry God had for them.

Scot had owned and operated a successful Massachusetts construction company. He used those skills to supervise and mentor the young men in the campus program, as he built and renovated buildings and properties owned by the home. At the same time he worked with the young people, helping them to interact with horses in a way that brought healing into their lives. Deb took on the position of Herd Manager & Riding Instructor, and they found themselves ministering together in ways they had not at all expected. They began to realize that their ministry, helping people through equine behavior would be more extensive than they had ever imagined.

Today, Scot, Deb and their children, Jaci, Kati, Josh and Matt, are all part of the Faith Step Ministries team. Putting their hand to the plow they travel throughout North America relating to people through the ministry, sharing their own stories of how God has worked in their lives.
